Risks & Vulnerabilities: Attack Vector

Analyze an attack vector and use the provided information to identify critical assets that can be remediated to reduce the attack surface

  1. Navigate to Risks & Vulnerabilities > Attack Vector.

  2. In the center of your screen, a potential Attack Vector will be shown. An attack vector is a potential pathway to critical assets, and Claroty models how the attacker could potentially move through the enviornment and impact other assets.

    • These potential movements are detailed under Attack Chain on the right side of the page.

  3. Select Target Zone, choose an alternate zone within, and note the new attack vector displayed.

    • Each attack vector shows a diferent potential attack pathway.
    • These attack vectors help visualize vulnerable assets, allowing remediation to be enacted with further context.

  4. Right-clicking on one of the attack vector nodes will take you to that asset’s page.

  • How can attack vectors be used to narrow down a potential “starting point” for remediation?
